OUR APPROACH

When we first came up with the idea of the Urban Amulets, we didn't think of identifying ourselves as a sustainable jewelry brand and, today, we cannot claim that we are. However, we do believe environmental and social responsibility - our future.

It all starts by opening up the conversation, looking at what changes needs to be done and starting by being the most responsible we can be with ourselves, within our STRONGER brand. It's a journey we have decided to undertake and we're counting on our STRONGER Community to join us along the way to become better every day.

Moreover, we believe having a platform comes with a responsibility to speak out for what we believe in, to communicate with total transparency, and to educate on conscious consumption.

Product material

Here are some facts and figures about Stainless steel. Once recycled, stainless steel does not lose any of its properties making it one of the topmost recycled materials worldwide. It is estimated that through the recycling of steel, a steel company reduces its energy consumption by 70%, and water by 40%.

For every ton of recycled steel, a ton and a half of iron and 500 kg of coal are saved, reducing considerably the environmental impact. After knowing this, we found it impossible to resist and that is why we use stainless steel in the manufacturing of Stronger & Stronger bracelets.

Besides it isn't toxic, by itself.

PVD - The Green Coating Technology

We are proud to be using PVD - Physical Vapor Deposition. It is the lowest environmentally impacting one. When compared with other common options, like electroplating, painting and the traditional wet baths, PVD process does not create any of the hazardous waste.

Besides that, the colouring process does not limit the recycling value of stainless steel.

E-Commerce

Mother earth is a little happier about you shopping on the web, because on average, e-commerce uses about 30% less energy than traditional retail.

On top of this, e-commerce allows us to have a better insight on our audience’s preferences and consequently a better stock management.

The benefits of working on an e-commerce basis don’t stop here. For us at Stronger & Stronger, it gave us the possibility to perform different parts of the process in the same space. We engrave the pieces at the same place as we pack them ready for shipment. Our offices work in the same space: we find this to be an excellent energy saver and to drastically decrease transportation hazards.

Ethics

By supporting a transparency policy, we urge to be extremely careful when choosing our producers and suppliers. Geographically, we try to keep them close so that we can monitor the practices as effectively as we can.

Timeless design

Longevity is the best form of sustainability. We create jewelry that is made to last and treasure; for living in and living with. Stronger & Stronger creates the timeless designs which you want to wear for years and pass down to the next generation.

Stronger & Stronger creates jewellery which are personal and tells a story.It should be possible to combine the jewelry and mix and match – so a collection is never dated.
